What You Can Test with PPO
App Store Connect lets you test three elements:
1. App Icon Up to three alternate icons. This is consistently the highest-impact element to test — the icon appears in search results, browse, and the listing itself.

3. App Name The display name shown on the listing page. Note: this does NOT affect your actual app title in search rankings. It's purely a conversion test.
You cannot test the description, subtitle, or keywords through PPO.
How Traffic Allocation Works
Apple splits impressions between your control and treatment(s). You choose the split — 33% to each variant if running two treatments, for example.

Stopping early. A treatment that looks 20% better after day two often regresses to 8% by day 14 as the novelty effect wears off. Wait for statistical stability.
Ignoring segment data. Apple shows results broken down by traffic source (Search, Browse, App Referral). A screenshot set that wins in Search might lose in Browse. Check whether one source is skewing your aggregate number.
